Event pros are some of the most passionate people out there. And we’re all a little addicted to the chaos. But what happens when the chaos and pressure become too much to handle?
NACE: Under Pressure presents an immersive experience to give you the tools to deal with the everyday stressors of our jobs, some quick and easy tactics to help you on event days, and a safe place to find resources to talk about the really tough stuff.
Come comfy – we want you to feel relaxed! Yoga pants and sweats are encouraged. You’ll walk through an array of calming vendor stations while you enjoy sips and treats overlooking City Park on the Parkside Mansion rooftop and then be welcomed to learn from our esteemed panel of professionals here to share their stories and give you the tools to find your best self – and stay there.

Jeremy Anderson, Personal Coach*
After more than 15 years in corporate and nonprofit business development, Jeremy embarked on the biggest adventure of his life in the fall of 2015. He quit his job, downsized his life and invested in a travel-filled year to spark a renewed personal transformation and awakening. Jeremy immediately understood where this year had been leading him – to share his experience, expertise and excitement with others, helping them to embrace their most authentic life’s journey.
Jeremy is a life coach who works on understanding where you’ve been and accepting where you are - but focuses on providing real-life action steps to create your best life today!
Erin McShane, Truly Being Therapy*
Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree from Lewis University and a Certificate of Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Loyola University. She started her career working in the inpatient substance use disorder/detox unit, then spent five years at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Chicago providing group and individual therapy to patients. In 2016, began a private practice providing therapy to individuals recovering from addiction/substance use disorders, and working with individuals suffering from anxiety, mood disorders, and grief and loss. She specializes working with special issues including shame, perfectionism, self-compassion, spirituality, and radical acceptance.
Jen Kates, Shift Human Performance*
Formerly a clinical research professional with nearly 12 years of experience, Jen is skilled in project team development, management, and training. As a health and fitness professional Jen provides nutrition guidance and plans in both individual and group settings. She is considered a meditation and breathing exercise specialist focusing on the mindfulness experience.

A former road warrior in a corporate setting, Shift Human Performance offers corporate wellness packages to busy professionals and business travelers to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism. Her personal coaching plan helps clients, “Lose Weight Forever While Supercharging Your Energy and Becoming A Badass At Everything You Do, Without Giving Up Bourbon, Beer, and Wine”
Nate Battle, Health and Well-Being Coach*
Much of the turmoil Nate has faced occurred at the same time - there was a point where his career, marriage, finances, and dad were all in the ICU at the same time. Having been on the verge of becoming a millionaire three times, he instead had to start over from nothing. His book, “Battle”, is about how you can learn to never give up and give everything you have to give.
Nate Battle is an IIN Certified Health & Well-being (Life) Coach, who is passionate about employing his experience and understanding to encourage and inspire those dealing with challenges through personal coaching, speaking and mentoring.
